Learning From My Betting Failures

First to explain the reason I wrote this essay. I have been wagering online or at a brick and mortar betting houses for a great many years. I have learned, the dependency can take a hold of you and you won’t even realize it until you are beaten. Particularly if you are on a winning run. I’ve gone through countless thousands of dollars in a very tiny period of time and to this day on occasion, I’ll go too far. It appears you’re just having a blast until you decide to be aware of your defeats and the guilt settles in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can earn it back" constantly. It does not works. Then you become queasy in your gut and the more you try the quicker you are deprived.

When you see that you are up, STAY on the UP! When you start to lose, don’t say to yourself, "well perhaps just one more" and over and over again, trust me, this plan RARELY ever works. Say you are playing on slot games, have an amount put aside prior to beginning your action. Don’t exceed that boundary, regardless how tempting. If you happen to succeed, put that in a different pot. Don’t risk your winnings no matter what. As soon as you’ve gone through your primary set limit, bail out. Head out, regardless if it is on the net or at a land-based betting house, don’t stick around. Always remember, there will be a different day, another time.

Remember, gambling is assumed to be exciting not backbreaking, sickening work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you do not belong there. If youcan not afford the cost, do not even start.
